This was just the initial sketch to learn how to do two point perspective. In this I learned how to show different angles and sides of objects that could be drawn. In the next drawing I should practice drawing inside of an object and how to do it on a bigger scale.
Two point perspective is the name of the game. Instead of working on one point perspective like we did in beginning art, we are learning a whole new type of perspective; two point. In this we are focusing on different things such as the corner of a room instead of a wall. My goals for this project is to truly capture what a place looks like, so that it could be like a picture... but in pencil. Another goal is to make my drawings look realistic.
This is obviously my final. I think that I achieved the goals of this art project in many ways. One reason is that I have a clear message that is shown in my painting. I also did a good job painting and showing the message though my art. I like the diversity in the picture which is shown in different colors, sizes, and shapes. Overall I am happy with my final. This is my second draft with the official message; "Share Your Love". I like this more because There is another person in the picture to complete the message of sharing love. I also like the fact that I was original and came up with the idea on my own without help. So things I could improve on is my proportions of the people. I could also make them different or keep them the same, I haven't decided yet. This picture is better than the previous because the proportions of the people are different so they don't look exactly the same, because no people actually look the same. I also like this because there is nothing going on the the background, and the message is easy to figure out. There is nothing there that doesn't need to be. I came up with this idea because I was trying to find something that anybody could have and that everyone wants; and who doesn't want love? The painting was essentially going to be someone trying to give away his love, the message being just that "give away your love". But later thinking about it I thought that love has to be two ways, so on my next draft I think that there should be another person. But as a first draft I think that I did a fa The objective of this project is to create a message through a painting similar to a style that Keith Haring uses. My goals on this project is to create a unique painting that's message is easy to understand, and one that anyone an relate too. To be successful on this assignment I need to be open to any message that could be told in a painting. I could also try to have a simple painting that isn't too complex because sometimes I can have a problem with that.
This is my first final of the semester and blogging. I think that I accomplished the goals of this assignment in many ways. One of the reasons that I think I did well was because I made this assignment my own, because in the end I didn't copy anyone's idea on movement. I also think that this is successful because when looking at the picture i think that it looks like the lines are moving farther away and closer to you. Overall I think that it's a good project to start the semester with.
This Is my second draft. This is better than my initial draft because I chose which design I wanted to use and went with it. I also like this one more because I had a better idea of how to make movement with the lines. I could improve this because it looks too much like the example shown to me. I would like to come up with my own idea and see the different possibilities that can come from that. This is my final draft. This is better than the previous because it's my own idea. I like this one because I could incorporate straight lines and still make it look like there is movement. One thing that I could improve on is is darkening and lightening the lines. By doing this it can make it look like the lines are coming closer or going farther away from you. |
